On December 17th, 2017, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 bowel cancer. I was 31.

Initially, I thought I would never share this story outside of telling close family and friends. As I write this, I am two years past diagnosis and am currently NED. I now think the more stories that are heard, the better. Young women are being utterly shocked with diagnoses of bowel cancer and they need reassurance and support.

At 54 I was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer.  It was May 9th 2016.  The day after Mothers’ Day.  The prognosis…. 2-3 years, maybe 4 with chemo.

In May 2019, I was training 3 times a week, eating a varied, well balanced diet and travelling interstate for work on a weekly basis.

I’ve always been healthy and active but was probably the healthiest I’d ever been.

I was 38 years old and I was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer.
